Abstract: An active and productive use of texts in GDR German language and literature lessons is also demanded in the didactic literature of the GDR. But how can the term “Schöpfertum” be defined and what impact did it have on the GDR lessons? On the basis of a first definition, examples of Pedagogical Lectures relating to the poetry lessons, will be examined.
