Abstract: Social conflicts are part of everyday life for teachers and pose a major challenge. This issue is particularly relevant in the field of social pedagogy, where teachers are direct role models for professional social behavior due to their „dual mediation practice”. A „good” teacher-student relationship is the key foundation for this. The aim of this study was therefore to examine the personal conflict resolution strategies of this group of teachers when dealing with conflicts. The teachers were also asked how they measure the success or failure of their actions. To this end, five qualitative, guided interviews were conducted with teachers at a vocational school for social pedagogy in Lower Saxony and evaluated using Mayring's qualitative content analysis.
