Abstract: This master's thesis in the field of political science explores the connection between football, nation and identity in the Western Balkan state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Despite the complexity of the topic, it aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of the country and its specific characteristics, emphasizing the importance of soccer as an identity resource. With the aim of offering recommendations for action and presenting possible future prospects, various theoretical concepts and empirical research approaches are integrated in the process.
