Retrospektiv wurde die Wirksamkeit der Strahlentherapie bei 138 Plasmozytom-patienten
untersucht. Zu 85% wurde eine Schmerzreduktion und zu 45% eine Rekalzifikation erzielt.
Kein Therapieabbruch, Alter <60 Jahre und Einzeldosis 2 Gy waren wichtig für eine
Schmerzreduktion; simultane Radiochemotherapie, keine Fraktur und Dosis ≥40 Gy für
eine Rekalzifizierung. Patienten mit ungünstiger Prognose profitieren von kurzen Schemata
(1×8-10×3 Gy). 40-50 Gy werden benötigt für bestmögliche Schmerzlinderung und Rekalzifizierung.

The effectiveness of radiotherapy were evaluated in 138 plasmacytoma patients retrospectively.
In 85% there was a pain reduction and in 45% a recalcification. Completeness of therapy,
age <60 years and a single dose of 2 Gy were important for pain relief; concurrent
chemotherapy, no fractures and a dose of ≥40 Gy for recalcification. Patients with
a poor prognosis profit from short-term schemes (1x8-10x3 Gy). 40-50 Gy are required
for the best possible pain relief and recalcification.
