Die kontrollierte Hypotension (KH) wird in der klinischen Routine zur Reduktion von
Blutverlusten eingesetzt. Die vorliegende Studie vergleicht den Einfluss der hierfür
häufig verwendeten Medikamente Esmolol (ES) und Natriumnitroprussid (NP) auf Oxygenierung
und Perfusion der Leber im tierexperimentellen Modell am Schwein.
Im Vergleich zu NP führt ES zu signifikanten Einschränkungen der systemischen und
hepatischen Makrohämodynamik, während sich mikrohämodynamisch anhand des hepatischen
Oberflächen-pO2 keine eindeutigen Vorteile für eine der beiden Substanzen erkennen
lassen.

Controlled hypotension (CH) is an established method to reduce intraoperative bleeding.
The aim of this animal study was to compare the influence of the herefore most frequently
used agents sodium nitroprusside (SNP) and esmolol (ES) on hepatic perfusion and oxygenation.
In comparison to SNP, ES leads to a significant constraint of systemic and hepatic
makrohaemodynamics while the measurement of liver surface pO2 does not show any advantage
for either one of the two substances with respect to the hepatic microcirculation.
