Abstract: 351 patients with Graves' Disease (GD) were treated with radioiodine following a function optimized and risk adapted dosage concept. The aim was to restore euthyroid state considering multiple pre-therapeutic risk factors simultaneously leading to adjusted target doses (125-250 Gy). Compared to other function optimized concepts we found a higher euthyroid rate of 44,4% after treatment whereas the overall success rate of 66,7% (eu- and hypothyroidism) was within an acceptable range. Further, individual determination of thyroidal radioiodine half-life increased the euthyroid rate up to 50%.
