Abstract: The present thesis aims at the theoretical description of laser-cluster interactions by means of semiclassical simulations, using small sodium clusters as model systems. In particular, the dynamics of ionization and electron emission is analyzed. To this end a model has been developed, which takes the density- and temperature dependence of electron-electron scattering cross sections within the nanoplasma into account. Furthermore the possibility of resonant excitation with few-cycle-pulses and control of the electron emission by means of the carrier-envelope-phase is investigated.
