In der vorliegenden kontrollierten Studie erfolgte die Auswertung der Langzeitergebnisse
von 35 Patienten, die nach einem Myokardinfarkt mit einer intramyokardialen Transplantation
von autologen CD 133+ Stammzellen in
Kombination mit einer aortokoronaren Bypass-OP behandelt wurden. Im Follow-up bis
zu 5 Jahre postoperativ zeigte die Stammzellgruppe im Vergleich zur Kontrollgruppe
exzellente Überlebensraten und eine signifikant gestiegene Myokardperfusion. Diese
Ergebnisse weisen auf eine sichere Therapiemethode und einen anhaltenden funktionellen
Effekt durch die CD133+ Stammzellen hin.

In this study we research the long-term outcome of 35 patients after autologous intramyocardial
CD 133+ bone marrow stem cell transplantation with concomitant CABG was compared to
a control group, who received CABG surgery only after myocardial infarction. During
the follow-up period up to 5 years the stem cell group showed excellent survival rates
and the myocardial perfusion score was significantly
increased in the stem cell group. The results show that transplantation of purified
BMSC may have a sustained safety and functional long-term benefit.
