Bei Gemüsewäsche ruft die Struktur der Strahlen abtragende, reinigende sowie schädigende
Wirkungen auf der Aufprallfläche hervor. Die Wirkung der Strahlen wurde als Funktion
der Prozessparameter geprüft. Standardisiertes Prüfverfahren zur Evaluierung der Niederdruckstrahlen
sowie ein auf Grundlagenuntersuchungen basierender Bewertungsschlüssel für Waschdüsen
und Strahlen wurde erarbeitet. Die Flachstrahldüse (Strahlwinkel: 90°, Volumenstromrate:
3-5 l/min) ist aufgrund Strahldivergenz, Größenverteilung, Massenstromdichte und spezifischer
Impulsintensität der Tropfen energetisch effizienter.

In vegetable washing, spray structure has erosive, cleaning, as well as damaging effects
on the impact surface. The effects of spray droplets as a function of process parameters
were investigated. A standard testing method for evaluating low-pressure sprays as
well as application recommendations concerning nozzles and operating parameters were
developed.
The flat fan nozzle (spray angle: 90°, flow rate: 3-5 l/min) proved to be appropriate
concerning spray divergence, droplet size spectrum, mass flux density, and specific
impulse intensity of the impacting droplets and revealed satisfactory area washing
performance.
