The present thesis is a state of the art report on the characterization techniques
and measurement strategies to verify quantum correlations. I will mainly focus on
research which has been performed in the theoretical quantum optics group at the University
of Rostock during the last few years. The results include theoretical findings and
analysis of experimental studies of radiation fields. We investigate the verification
of quantum properties, the quantification of these quantum effects, and the characterization
of quantum optical detector systems.

Die vorliegenden Habitilationsschrift ist eine Übersicht zum aktuellen Stand der Charakterisierungsmethoden
und Messstrategien zum Nachweis von Quantencorrelationen. Ich werde mich dabei auf
Forschung beschränken, die in der AG Theoretische Quantenoptik an der Universität
Rostock in den letzten Jahren durchgeführt wurde. Die Resultate beinhalten theoretische
Ergebnisse und Analysen experimenteller Untersuchungen von Strahlungsfeldern. Wir
studieren dabei den Nachweis von Quanteneigenschaften, die Quantifizierung dieser
Effekte sowie die Charakterisierung von quantenoptischen Detektorsytemen.
