Abstract: A Hardware-in-the-Loop test bench for the investigation of rotary oscillation behaviour of automotive drive train components is presented. For emulation of the combustion engine two electric motors with different dynamic characteristics and quantity of torque are connected by a flexible torsion shaft. The additional degree of freedom allows summing up torque of both motors. The emulated rotation of the combustion engine is controlled by a hierarchical system of DSPs. The outgoing component shaft is torsionally flexible connected to an electric motor, which emulates the drive train of the car.
